Monitoring - We're beginning to see services recover. You should now be able to login into Square Dashboard and the Square apps as normal. Customers should also be able to place orders on the Square Online site successfully.

We’ll continue to monitor as our teams work to ensure the fix will completely resolve the issue.

Update - Our teams are actively working on this issue. If you try to login to your Square account, it'll look like the password is incorrect but this is due to the current outage. Please do not try to request a password reset at the moment.

Update - If you're currently logged into your Square app, you may experience some slowness. Please do not try to logout and login.

We're also receiving reports that customers may also experience intermittent error when placing an order on your Square Online site.

Resolved - New account activations are working as expected and accounts created during the earlier disruption should now be activated, providing they met the regular activation requirements. Thanks for sticking with us.

Monitoring - A fix has been implemented, we're monitoring the results to ensure there are no further issues. New accounts activations should be able to proceed as normal. We're working through a backlog of accounts created during the disruption to ensure these accounts can continue activation.

Investigating - We're currently hearing reports from some new Square sellers that they are unable to complete the process of creating a new Square account and successfully having it activated to accept card payments. Our engineering team are looking into the issue, we'll provide further updates as news comes to hand.
