Instant Transfers are once again available; however, previously pending transfers were not completed. The transfer amount and fee have been returned to your Square Balance. Sellers with pending transfers that did not complete today are able to retry this action at this time. We appreciate your patience with our team and partners today.

Our banking partner has informed us that the disruption affecting Instant Transfers to bank accounts has been resolved. We can see Instant Transfers are now starting to work normally. Sellers who attempted Instant Transfers and are in a pending state at this time, will soon see the transaction reversed to their Square Account balance by our Banking Partner. At that time, impacted Sellers will be able to attempt these transfers.

Our team continues to work with our Banking Partner to address the disruption impacting Instant Transfers. During this time, Instant Transfers are available for Sellers who have a debit card linked. Sellers who are attempting to use Instant Transfers to a bank account will still see this option as unavailable. We understand the importance of having your transfers available to you in a timely manner and we’ll continue to provide updates as they become available.

While we investigate this situation, our team has identified that some Instant Transfers that have been requested may be displayed as “Pending” in Square Dashboard until our Banking Partner addresses their disruption. At this time, our team has enabled Instant Transfers for Sellers who have a debit card linked; Instant Transfers to linked external bank accounts remain unavailable.
